A: Cartridges from all major printer cartridge manufactures can be refilled by INKGUY. Our staff are fully-trained in the latest refilling techniques, and are well-informed by our Research and Development Department. So don’t worry, if you happen to have a cartridge that cannot be refilled on site, we offer great quality comparable and remanufactured cartridges that still give you the results you want as well as saving you money.
Q: Are the printing results of a refilled cartridge different from a new cartridge?
A: Most people can’t tell the difference between the printing from our refilled cartridge and a new cartridge. The reason for this is due to the high quality of the inkjet inks and printer toner we use that are mainly imported from the USA and Korea. Special photo inks are used to reduce fading as well, therefore guaranteeing you a great result. Your complete satisfaction is our guarantee.
Q: How do you refill a Toner Cartridge?
A: Firstly toner cartridges are not simply refilled with new toner. We disassemble them first to replace any old, worn-out parts within the cartridge and also to give it a good clean. When we replace the drums, we only use new and certified OPC drums to ensure its best performance and yields.
The toner which is used to fill laser printer cartridges is specified to match both the OPC drum and the wiper blade. The toner powder used is designed to fulfill the specifications of the OEM. In most cases, cartridges will have as much or more toner than cartridges straight out of the OEM which will result in a high page yield.
After we refill your toner cartridges, it is installed and test-printed right in front of you for your satisfaction.

Q: How many times can an inkjet cartridge be refilled?
A: If it is looked after well, an inkjet cartridge can be successfully refilled several times, after which it will need to be replaced, having out-lived its usefulness.
Q: How long will a refilled cartridge last?
A: Cartridges bought new have either a high yield or a standard yield capacity. This will determine how long a cartridge can be used. Basically it is the amount of ink / toner that a cartridge contains that effects how long it can be used. INKGUY refills all cartridges to their full capacity, therefore, what might have been bought as a standard capacity cartridge will become a full capacity cartridge for a fraction of the cost.
Q: How should I care for and store my cartridge when not in use?
A: For inkjet cartridges: Cartridges should be placed in a sealed zip-lock bag along with a paper towel or a tissue dampened with water. Do not cover the print head with the moist towel as this can cause a mixing of colours. Also it is not good to run your cartridge completely dry.
For toner cartridges: Avoid exposure to light and moisture. Light will cause damage to the drum in the cartridge and moisture will harden the toner. They must be kept in a cool, dry place.
Q: Will refilling my cartridge void my printer warranty?
A: No. Your printer warranty will not be affected by using refilled cartridges. Even so, printer manufacturers would like you to believe that refilling will affect your warranty.
According to the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission):
“If a part is non genuine, but is interchangeable with the genuine part, it can be seen as being fit or appropriate for the purpose and would therefore not void the manufacturers warranty”.
Q: Will I really save money by refilling?
A: Of course. Depending on the printer you have, you can save up to 50% by refilling.
It is a fact that some cartridges cost more to replace than the actual printer that uses them. Many inkjet cartridges can be refilled 3 - 5 times keeping the same standard of quality. Toner cartridges can be used semi-permanently as long as certain parts are replaced as necessary. As you can see, over time you could save a lot.

A: 40,000 tons of non-biodegradable plastics were thrown into our landfills in the year of 1989. Since then, every year that amount has grown. In 2002, it was estimated to be 78,000 tons. In 2004, around the world, 1.8 billion cartridges were dumped into the ground. Every toner cartridge contains oil and non-biodegradable parts that will stay in the environment for generations to come. When you use a recycled toner cartridge, you are helping to reduce the amount of plastics and non-biodegradables poured into the earth. This can make a big difference to our environmental future.
